Bernard H. Doft
Dr. Doft did his undergraduate work at Cornell, and received his M.D. from NYU after having been elected to Alpha Omega Alpha, the honor medical society. He completed a residency in ophthalmology and a fellowship in diseases and surgery of the retina and vitreous at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. Dr. Doft is certified by both the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is past president of the Pittsburgh Ophthalmology Society. A member of the Retina, Macula and Vitreous Societies, he is also a Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Pittsburgh. He has published more than 80 articles on retinal diseases. Dr. Doft has been awarded numerous honors, including Outstanding Clinical Instructor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.
