Louis A. Lobes, Jr., M.D.
Dr. Lobes received his B.A. from Holy Cross College and his M.D. from Cornell University. Dr. Lobes completed his medical internship at New York Hospital, and followed with training in medical epidemiology and preventative medicine at the Center for Disease Control in Atlanta. He then completed a residency in ophthalmology at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami and a fellowship in retinal and vitreous diseases and surgery at the University of Iowa. Dr. Lobes is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He is past president of the Pittsburgh Ophthalmological Society and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Macula Society and the Retina Society. He is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
