Karl R. Olsen, M.D.

Dr. Olsen received his B.S. from Stanford University and his M.D. from Northwestern University Medical School. He completed a residency in ophthalmology at the University of Miami Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, where he served as both Instructor and Chief resident. He also completed a retina- vitreous fellowship at Duke University Eye Center. Dr. Olsen was an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Bascom Palmer and is now a Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Pittsburgh. He has served on the Executive and Radiation Oncology and the Physics Committees for the Collaborative Ocular Melanoma Study. He is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
